When I got my license in 1998, one of the first things I was determined to do, besides make my first contact in Morse Code, was to design and draw my own QSL card. Back then the possibilities were much more limited than now. My first design was a black pen and ink drawing printed on blue card stock. My current one is quite colorful! It is traditional media: pen and ink and colored pencil, based on the Tesla Radio stained glass window in Prague.

I've been a cartoonist and illustrator all my life and have had a lot of fun designing my own cards and doing a few for my friends. If you'd like something unique to send around the world or to post on your QRZ page, I'd be happy to draw and design your QSL card or business card. I don't print them, but I know people who do! I can create and lay out the front and back artwork and send it directly to the printer of your choice.

I charge a reasonable amount for original art based on the time I spend on drawing, coloring, layout and revisions. The more intricate and involved, the more it will be. Digital art is more flexible in the revision stage, but traditional media gives more variety of possible styles and atmosphere. Most cards will at least begin with hand drawn elements. My inner cartooninist prefers to draw with a pencil or a pen!
As an example, Jim's card here (front and back) was $350

I've also done some radio art for other purposes. I have designed a T-shirt and a business card for my club and made some radio and Morse Code inspired fine art. I'll be happy to draw, paint or design art for any radio event or group. I also can do a fine art commission for your shack!

So take a look at the art on this site and my full portfolio to get an idea of what I can do, and, whatever you have in mind, get in touch and I'll be glad to make it happen!
